Brooklyn Granary & Mill Opens Flour Mill in Gowanus
Stoneground flour from regenerative farms now available for restaurants, bakeries, and home bakers across NYC
Brooklyn Granary & Mill is excited to announce the official opening of its flour mill in Gowanus, Brooklyn, on April 15!
Owner Patrick Shaw-Kitch, who previously served as the head baker at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, says: “we will start delivering fresh, stoneground flour from regenerative farms in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic to restaurants, bakeries, and home bakers. We’re so excited to start milling flour at 300 Huntington Street on our two 40 inch New American Stone Mills”.
On April 15, Brooklyn Granary & Mill will begin delivering flour to wholesale customers. Restaurants and bakeries in New York City interested in sourcing their flour can complete a wholesale interest form at Link In Bio @brooklyngranaryandmill. Additionally, the online store will open the same day for home bakers and cooks to purchase flour directly.
To give people a taste of what’s to come, Brooklyn Granary & Mill will also be hosting pop-ups at Rhodora Wine Bar in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, on April 12, 20, 27, and May 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers can purchase flour, grains, and a selection of whole grain bread and pastries.
Brooklyn Granary & Mill’s bakery buildout at the same Huntington Street location is underway, with a slated opening in early June. Until then, the team looks forward to sharing their fresh, regional flour with New Yorkers soon!
