What’s a weekend in Park Slope without brunch? On any given Saturday or Sunday, the neighborhood is buzzing with activity, and sidewalks are lined with bistro tables full of family & friends enjoying yummy food & great company.

Though we love having options, the vast number of restaurants in the neighborhood can be a tad overwhelming. Here, we share need-to-know information on some of our favorite spots, including which restaurants offer outdoor seating, weekday bunch, and bottomless beverage options.

Alchemy

This casual, pub style restaurant serves brunch classics, local drafts, and cocktails in a welcoming atmosphere with a spacious back patio. Go for the “Toad In A Hole”— a fried egg in rustic sourdough with tomato dill cream sauce—or the tofu scramble for a meatless option.

Outdoor seating: Yes

Alcohol: Full bar

Large groups: Yes

Reservations: Walk ins/ limited reservations by phone

Brunch hours: Sat & Sun 10:30am-5:00pm

Location: 56 5th Avenue

al di la Trattoria

Owned and operated by a husband & wife team since 1998, this Northern Italian spot features chandeliers, red curtains, and church pews that give the atmosphere a rustic, old-world feel. Brunch menu highlights include Tagliatelle Al Ragu, steamed mussels, and the funghi and polenta.

Outdoor seating: Sidewalk

Alcohol: Full bar

Large groups: One large table in the wine bar area can accommodate six people. For larger groups, event packages are available

Reservations: Brunch is walk-in only

Brunch hours: Fri-Sun 11am-3pm

Black Oak

Choosing between a wood-fired pizza (available all day!) or something off the brunch menu may be the toughest decision you’ll make this weekend. This female-owned American-Italian restaurant is a great choice for groups & families with kids, and the three TVs at the bar make it a popular spot on game days.

Outdoor seating: Sidewalk & street area

Alcohol: Full bar, including a “brunch happy hour” with $6 mimosas and Bellinis, $7 screwdrivers, $9 Aperol or Hugo Spritzes, & more

Large groups: Yes—contact the restaurant for groups larger than 16.

Brunch hours: Sat & Sun 10am-3:45pm
