Here’s a quick roundup on real estate news happening around this part of Brooklyn:
The FARE Act is now in effect as of 2 days ago (June 11 2025): “The Fairness in Apartment Rental Expenses (FARE) Act makes broker fees the responsibility of the party who hires the broker — which, in most cases, is the property manager. It requires property managers or their brokers to disclose and advertise any fees a tenant must pay on their rental listings and in rental agreements, or else risk a penalty, including fines and risk of lawsuit. It also gives renters the choice of hiring a broker to represent them, and ensures tenants aren’t forced to pay a broker fee as a condition of signing a lease agreement.” [StreetEasy]
One of Brooklyn Heights’ oldest homes at 69 Orange St, built in 1829 and believed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad, is now listed for $5.95 million. The landmarked Federal-style house features original details and a historic cellar tunnel. [NY Post]
Vibra Inc via NY Post Silverstein Properties has relaunched condominium sales at Brooklyn Tower, Brooklyn’s tallet building, after acquiring the project in a $672 million foreclosure settlement. The 93-story neo-Gothic skyscraper which has sold only 23 of its 143 condos, will have condos priced from $965,000 for a studio. “Although not open yet, the building’s 100,000 square feet of amenity space, includes a huge Life Time fitness center that will span seven floors.” [Curbed] [6sqft]

This Week’s Must-See Property Sales
Whether you’re planning your open house weekend, or just want to keep a pulse on (or take a peek at) what the real estate market looks like, here are our real estate listings for this week focusing on property sales of 2-3 bedroom apartments.
I use StreetEasy as the listing source to recommend properties that I would live in myself, and have searched within the boundaries of Park Slope and surrounding neighborhoods (Gowanus, Windsor Terrace, Prospect Heights). All prices are per month, and only listings in the last 14 days are shown unless there is a significant price drop. All sales jargon has been magically removed.
