Let the sun shine
It’s officially Summer, and we are hoping you are enjoying the longer days of sunlight!
Floral highlight of the week
This week we highlight some beautiful blooms spotted in the neighborhood. This was the first time we had seen it, and so we asked if anyone knew what they were.
Thanks to everyone who responded!
@escottberg: “You can make a nice, relaxing tea from the fresh blooms.”
@catybartholomew.art: “With edible fruit!”
There is even a poem about it:
@ajojedapons:
Passion Flower (Passiflora) 😍
Native to Latin America.
Name relates to the Passion of The Lord (crown of thorns, ten faithful apostles).
There is even a poem!
“When God made everything
I'm glad he had a lot of blue-
A great big sky for all the world
And eyes like yours for you.”
— Annette Wynn
