Spooky season in the Slope is one of our favorite times of the year! Here is your guide to fall festivities, ghoulish games, & frighteningly fun events this season in PS & surrounding neighborhoods.

After Hours @ Green-Wood Cemetery*
October 11th, 12th, 25th, 26th, & 27th
Long after Green-Wood’s gates close to the public, explore its historic grounds under the cover of night. You’ll weave through the Cemetery’s stunning landscape and visit the graves of fascinating figures in New York and American history. This not-to-be-missed walking tour ends with a visit to the Catacombs, which are normally closed to the public. $30/$25 for members.
Halloween films @ Nitehawk Cinema*
Check out special Halloween programming at Prospect Park’s dine-in movie theater all month long, with showings of Betty Boop’s Halloween Party, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Scream (with a live pre-show drag performance), The Devil’s Backbone, The Ring, and more! Tickets start at $17.
Black Lagoon Pop-Up @ Someday Bar
This immersive pop-up experience will be taking over Downtown Brooklyn’s Someday Bar for the month of October. Stop by for spooky decorations, Halloween-themed specialty cocktails, and tasty bites. Free admission.
Madame Morbid Ghost Tours
This dark history & true crime trolley tour of Brooklyn runs Wednesday-Sundays through November 10th. The tour starts in Williamsburg and visits hidden cemeteries inside the Navy Yard and Prospect Park, George Washington’s old headquarters in Park Slope, and an EPA Superfund site in Gowanus. Tickets start at $59.
Greg’s Halloween Paw-Rade @ Greenwood Park
Saturday, October 12th, 1-4pm
Dress up your pup for a chance to win prizes (Best in Show, Funniest Costume, Most Creative Homemade) or just come out see the show and enjoy Greg’s Pumpkin Patch, which offers a variety of premium, farm grade pumpkins ranging from little munchkins to large Howden pumpkins, as well as decorative corn, gourds and fall mums. Registration required for the costume contest. FREE.
Fall Fest @ Atlantic Terminal Mall Outdoor Plaza
Sunday, October 13th, 11am-2pm
Join Atlantic Terminal & Brooklyn Bridge Parents for a family-friendly fall festival featuring an urban pumpkin patch with over 1,000 pumpkins waiting to be decorated! Costumes are encouraged for this fun day filled with arts & crafts, pumpkin painting, block building, haunted trucks, soccer, and a costume dance party at 11.30 am. FREE.
Sip & Paint @ Greenwood Park
Tuesday, October 15th, 7-10pm
Head to Greg’s Great Pumpkin Patch to paint or carve one large pumpkin or two small ones. Ticket price—which includes a glass of wine or beer, paint, a smock, carving tools and guidance from a pumpkin artist—can be purchased on site. $39.99.
Game Night: The Death Deck @ Green-Wood Cemetery

Brooklyn Public Library turns their auditorium into a mini movie theater for this interactive Halloween movie program for all ages! No registration required. FREE.

Spooktacular Sounds: A Halloween Musical Adventure @ Old Stone House

Mozart for Munchkins presents this spooktacular musical adventure for little ones to jam, dance, and play. Talented musicians will perform a mix of lively and enchanting tunes, from classical Halloween pieces to jazzy numbers that will get everyone moving— plus, a costume parade and treats will be provided for all! $40 for adults/ free for kids under 13.

The 10th Rocky Horror Picture Show Live Band Karaoke Halloween Extravaganza @ Littlefield

Park Slope Halloween Parade
Thursday, October 31st, 6:30-7:30pm
Since 1986, the annual Park Slope Civic Council Halloween Parade has been a highlight of the Slope fall season! Dress up and join the fun as the parade begins at 14th Street and 7th Avenue at 6:30pm, then heads north on 7th Avenue, turning left on 3rd Street and ends in J.J. Byrne Playground at the Old Stone House. Look for BKCM musicians at the end of the parade, on the corner of 5th Avenue and 3rd Street and join a spectacular Halloween sing-a-long where you can mash with the Monsters, cast a spell with the Sanderson Sisters and jam with Jack Skelington. Rocky Horror Picture Show 49th Anniversary Spectacular Tour @ The Kings Theatre

Grab a flashlight and illuminate your way through this pop-up art installation featuring 70 artists. Named one of the best Halloween Events of last year by TimeOut NY, ​this gallery will display dark, curious, and surreal works by candlelight. Check it out from Mon-Fri from 6pm to 1am and Sat-Sun from 2pm to 1am. FREE.
