This guide begins with events that repeat throughout the month and then continues with a listing of one-time events.

After Hours @ Green-Wood Cemetery*
October 10th, 11th, 24th, 25th, 26th

Long after Green-Woodâs gates close to the public, explore its historic grounds under the cover of night. Youâll weave through the Cemeteryâs stunning landscape and visit the graves of fascinating figures in New York and American history. This not-to-be-missed walking tour ends with a visit to the Catacombs, which are normally closed to the public. $30.
Black Lagoon Pop-Up @ Someday Bar
Through October

Black Lagoon Pop-Up is taking over Someday Bar this limited-time experience and bringing dark vibes & and haunted decor to Atlantic Avenue. If youâre all about creepy cool, this oneâs for you. Expect skeletons, life-sized octopus tentacles you can take a selfie in, and themed cocktails! FREE admission.
Gregâs Great Pumpkin Patch @ Greenwood Park
Through October
Greenwood Park welcomes Gregâs Great Pumpkin Patch, a pop-up full of Fall fun for the whole family (including pets). The festivities will include harvest-themed decorations, a country-style pumpkin patch, a field filled with over a thousand pumpkins, and a zillion ways to have fun. You can paint your own pumpkin on-site and step behind one of Gregâs famous character cutouts for some highly Instagrammable pics. FREE.
Haunted Carousel @ Prospect Park
October 25th, 26th, 30th, & 31st from 12-5pm
Take a spin on this spooky ride to your favorite Halloween jams at the beloved Prospect Park Carousel! $3.
Madame Morbid Ghost Tours*
This dark history & true crime trolley tour of Brooklyn runs Wednesday-Sundays through November 9th. Hear stories based on local lore and legend, whilst exploring the historic neighborhoods of Park Slope, Williamsburg, Navy Yard, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Bridge, Gowanus and Prospect Park. See the home where a sĂŠance went horribly wrong in 1864 and the location of a theater fire which caused 300 people to melt together. Drive over a canal so dirty it killed a whale, and say a quick hello to a headless ghost who walks the Brooklyn Bridge. $69.
Spooky Movie Nights @ Mockingbird
Frights are on draft every Sunday in October at this zero-proof cocktail bar! Expect free popcorn, spooky vibes, and plenty of zero-proof drinks to keep you refreshed. Lineup includes Night Of the Living Dead, House On A Haunted Hill, and more. FREE entry.
Spooktober @ Prospect Park Zoo
Weekends in October
Go batty every weekend in October at the Prospect Park Zoo! Visit the tombstones of extinct animals in Sea Lion Court and learn why extinction isnât inevitable with your help. Our Spooky Trail will show you some of our âspookyâ neighbors who come out at night. Discover some Spooky Science and enjoy special live performances. Come in costume and take a photo at one of the beautiful harvest decoration areas. Tickets start at $7.95.
Spooky Treasures Movie Nights @ Bar Louise
Every Tuesday in October at 7:30pm
Enjoy spooky movies on Bar Louiseâs back patio every Tuesday! Each table gets its own bluetooth speaker to enjoy the movie. Free housemade popcorn included. Lineup includes Death Becomes Her, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. and more. $25 minimum spend.

Nightfall @ Green-Wood Cemetery*

Welcome to Nightfall, where the sacred meets the spectacular and centuries-old pathways become stages for the extraordinary. Step through Green-Woodâs gates and watch as their historic grounds come alive with creative energy and artistic vision. Expect circus acts among the gravestones, candlelit storytelling, and cinematic visions projected through the darkness. $85 GA ($65 for members).
Harvest Festival @ Brooklyn Bridge Park

Join BBP this fall as they celebrate the changing of the seasons at the Brooklyn Bridge Parkâs annual Harvest Festival! Donât miss the kick-off procession, live music, arts and crafts, storytelling, lawn games and moreâincluding their signature pumpkin patch! FREE.

Labubu Pumpkin Fest @ City Point

City Point and Brooklyn Bridge Parents kick off the spooky season with pumpkin decorating, fall crafts and a Labubu meet and greet. Costumes encouraged! Highlights include pumpkin decorating: take home a pumpkin (while supplies last), selfies with life-sized Labubus, fall crafts and balloon twisting. Best for ages 2 to 10. FREE.
Fall Harvest @ Threes Brewing

Head to Gowanus for this family-friendly fall festival full of pumpkins and pints. Enjoy festive games, a live DJ, pumpkin & gourd painting, cozy photo ops, and much more. Kids will love the hands-on fun, while adults can sip on seasonal drink specials â including fest-style steins, spiced fall cocktails, and warm, boozy beverages. Halloween Costume Building Party @ Old Stone House

Are your kidsâ Halloween costumes ready to go, but you havenât even started on your own? Need to make wings, a hat, or some other key accessory to complete a look? Let the Old Stone House staff help you jeuje up your costume and get it Trick-or-Treat ready! Bring your materials and imagination to the Old Stone House and theyâll bring the sewing machine, glue, glitter, and know-how. Old Stone Houseâs Director of Programming, Madeline Wall, is an award winning costume designer and sewing teacher. Other OSH staff will be armed with hot-glue guns, lots of baubles, trim, and glitter to make your outfit sparkle! Costume donating and swapping is encouraged! FREEâreservation recommended.
Halloween Movie Night: The Addams Family @ Park Slope Library

Join the Park Slope Library as they screen the Addams family (2020 animated movie) and celebrate Halloween! Dark hilarity ensues after the Addams familyâand their macabre traditionsârelocate to suburbia, 21st century New Jersey. As they prepare for a major celebration that involves their extended family, they have to maneuver around the machinations of a devious reality-television host. FREE.
Halloween Movie Night: Hocus Pocus @ Brooklyn Conservatory of Music

BKCMâs annual Halloween movie screening is back this year, and the audience has voted and decided: this yearâs screening is the classic Hocus Pocus from 1993! This timeless, 90âs classic will be shown on the big screen in the Concert Hall, and each ticket comes with popcorn and a drink. Dress for the occasion in a creepy and comfy costume to win an all-ages Halloween Costume Contests (there will be prizes!) For adult guests, there will be boozy movie beverages available for purchase. For our younger friends that may need some reprieve from the puppets and monsters, there will be a kids-only space for any needed breaks or breathers. $15 adults/ $10 kids.
Halloween Kids Concert @ Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra*

Little ghouls and goblins, get ready! Join Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra & Mozart for Munchkins for a Spooktacular kids concert full of tricks, treats, and tunes. Come dressed in your favorite costumes and get ready to swing and shiver from head to toe with a thrilling variety of music, including spooky favorites and interactive moments that will delight and entertain. $44.43/ Kids under 13 are free.
The 27th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest @ Fort Greene Park
Saturday October 25th, 12-1pm
Presented by Fort Greene PUPS, the Great PUPkin is Brooklynâs largest and most outrageous dog costume contest. Judges help pick the favorites, but the audience decides the winner! Participant sign-ups are full, but come by to see the cute pups and enjoy the Halloween Fest (see below) FREE.

Dress up in your best costumes and enjoy spooky stories, face painting, haunted music, family-friendly games, fun prizes and more. FREE.
Fall Harvest Festival @ Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Saturday October 25th, 11am-4pm
Celebrate the fall season surrounded by some of Brooklynâs most fabulous foliage. Enjoy live music, horse-drawn carriage rides, hands-on activities for families, a cider and beer garden, pumpkin-decorating, and more. The Scenario 90âs Dance Party x Thriller Mode @ Atolye Venue & Bar

Halloween Costume Showcase and Mini-Parade @ Old Stone House

Park Slope Parentsâ beloved Halloween Costume Parade is back! Dust off your hot glue guns and sewing machines. From 11:00am- 12:00pm, enjoy Halloween kids crafts and photos, Halloween themed crafts, and photo opps. At 12pm, the Costume Showcase and Mini-Parade around Washington Park will begin! Participants will be split into themed categories and everyone will have a moment to show off their look. Everyone who participates gets a ribbon. Plus lots of compliments and recognition on their outfit! FREE.
The 11th Annual âRocky Horror Picture Showâ Live Band Karaoke Halloween Extravaganza @ Littlefield

The Occasionalists are back in their garters and red lipstick to bring you The 11th Annual Rocky Horror Picture Show Live Band Karaoke Halloween Extravaganza. Weâll be celebrating the movieâs 50th anniversary so bring your dancing shoes and party hats! Like past years, the band (with some special guests) will be playing the complete RHPS soundtrack and you, the audience, can sign up to sing the songs with the band. 21+. $15.38.
Cemetery Scavenger Hunt @ Green-Wood Cemetery

TalkDeathâs Cemetery Scavenger Hunt is an annual event designed to bring together communities, families, cemetery lovers, and history enthusiasts. TalkDeath DFFs (Death Friends Forever) are encouraged to visit their local cemeteries and search for monuments, headstones, and symbols that match the provided clues shared on Instagram and TalkDeath.com. Haunted Halloween Labyrinth @ Brooklyn Bridge Park

Join BBP for a slightly spooky â but not too scary â Halloween experience for youngsters! There will be ghosts and ghouls and witches on brooms, pumpkins that giggle and spiders that wiggle, mummies and monsters and bats on the go, and witches and wizards and pumpkins that glow! A Drinking Game: Hocus Pocus @ The Bell House

Sauce City Halloween Party: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac with Barndog + M&C @ Littlefield

Sauce City is continuing their Halloween tradition with a tribute to Fleetwood Mac. The night will also feature Barndog, coming off their sold out show at Bowery Ballroom, and Madeleine & Cristian, following up their debut performance at Peteâs Candy Store. BKCMâs free, family-friendly Halloween garden party in Park Slope is back! Some have speculated that their 144-year-old Victorian mansion may be haunted. They can neither confirm nor deny these rumors, but they CAN confirm that some talented musical spirits will be giving a spine-chilling performance in the garden, and that the candy will be plentiful and frightfully delicious. Since 1986, the annual Park Slope Civic Council Halloween Parade has been a highlight of the Slope fall season! The festivities will start at 6:30 from 14th St and 7th Ave. This year there will be a group costume contest! Details TBA soon. FREE.
Young Adult Friction: an indie + alt dance party: Halloween Edition
