Spooky season in the Slope is one of our favorite times of the year! Consider this your comprehensive guide to fall festivities, ghoulish games, & frighteningly fun events in and around Park Slope.
This guide begins with events that repeat throughout the month and then continues with a listing of one-time events.

After Hours @ Green-Wood Cemetery*
October 10th, 11th, 24th, 25th, 26th

Long after Green-Wood’s gates close to the public, explore its historic grounds under the cover of night. You’ll weave through the Cemetery’s stunning landscape and visit the graves of fascinating figures in New York and American history. This not-to-be-missed walking tour ends with a visit to the Catacombs, which are normally closed to the public. $30.
Black Lagoon Pop-Up @ Someday Bar
Through October
Black Lagoon Pop-Up is taking over Someday Bar this limited-time experience and bringing dark vibes & and haunted decor to Atlantic Avenue. If you’re all about creepy cool, this one’s for you. Expect skeletons, life-sized octopus tentacles you can take a selfie in, and themed cocktails! FREE admission.
Greg’s Great Pumpkin Patch @ Greenwood Park
Through October
Greenwood Park welcomes Greg’s Great Pumpkin Patch, a pop-up full of Fall fun for the whole family (including pets). The festivities will include harvest-themed decorations, a country-style pumpkin patch, a field filled with over a thousand pumpkins, and a zillion ways to have fun. You can paint your own pumpkin on-site and step behind one of Greg’s famous character cutouts for some highly Instagrammable pics. FREE.
Haunted Carousel @ Prospect Park
October 25th, 26th, 30th, & 31st from 12-5pm
Take a spin on this spooky ride to your favorite Halloween jams at the beloved Prospect Park Carousel! $3.
Madame Morbid Ghost Tours*
This dark history & true crime trolley tour of Brooklyn runs Wednesday-Sundays through November 9th. Hear stories based on local lore and legend, whilst exploring the historic neighborhoods of Park Slope, Williamsburg, Navy Yard, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Bridge, Gowanus and Prospect Park. See the home where a séance went horribly wrong in 1864 and the location of a theater fire which caused 300 people to melt together. Drive over a canal so dirty it killed a whale, and say a quick hello to a headless ghost who walks the Brooklyn Bridge. $69.
Mysstic Escape Rooms
MyssTic Rooms blends theatre and mystery to create an immersive adventure that leaves no one unchanged. For a extra spooky experience, check out their Ghost Light Room, which centers around Olive Thomas, one of the most famous girls of the Ziegfeld Follies who died under mysterious circumstances when she was poisoned in Paris. Ticket prices vary.
Spooky Movie Nights @ Mockingbird
Frights are on draft every Sunday in October at this zero-proof cocktail bar! Expect free popcorn, spooky vibes, and plenty of zero-proof drinks to keep you refreshed. Lineup includes Night Of the Living Dead, House On A Haunted Hill, and more. FREE entry.
Spooktober @ Prospect Park Zoo
Weekends in October
Go batty every weekend in October at the Prospect Park Zoo! Visit the tombstones of extinct animals in Sea Lion Court and learn why extinction isn’t inevitable with your help. Our Spooky Trail will show you some of our “spooky” neighbors who come out at night. Discover some Spooky Science and enjoy special live performances. Come in costume and take a photo at one of the beautiful harvest decoration areas. Tickets start at $7.95.
Spooky Treasures Movie Nights @ Bar Louise
Every Tuesday in October at 7:30pm
Enjoy spooky movies on Bar Louise’s back patio every Tuesday! Each table gets its own bluetooth speaker to enjoy the movie. Free housemade popcorn included. Lineup includes Death Becomes Her, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. and more. $25 minimum spend.

Labubu Pumpkin Fest @ City Point

City Point and Brooklyn Bridge Parents kick off the spooky season with pumpkin decorating, fall crafts and a Labubu meet and greet. Costumes encouraged! Highlights include pumpkin decorating: take home a pumpkin (while supplies last), selfies with life-sized Labubus, fall crafts and balloon twisting. Best for ages 2 to 10. FREE.
Fall Harvest @ Threes Brewing

Head to Gowanus for this family-friendly fall festival full of pumpkins and pints. Enjoy festive games, a live DJ, pumpkin & gourd painting, cozy photo ops, and much more. Halloween Costume Building Party @ Old Stone House

Are your kids’ Halloween costumes ready to go, but you haven’t even started on your own? Need to make wings, a hat, or some other key accessory to complete a look? Let the Old Stone House staff help you jeuje up your costume and get it Trick-or-Treat ready! Bring your materials and imagination to the Old Stone House and they’ll bring the sewing machine, glue, glitter, and know-how. Old Stone House’s Director of Programming, Madeline Wall, is an award winning costume designer and sewing teacher. Other OSH staff will be armed with hot-glue guns, lots of baubles, trim, and glitter to make your outfit sparkle! Costume donating and swapping is encouraged! FREE—reservation recommended.
Halloween Movie Night: The Addams Family @ Park Slope Library

Join the Park Slope Library as they screen the Addams family (2020 animated movie) and celebrate Halloween! Dark hilarity ensues after the Addams family—and their macabre traditions—relocate to suburbia, 21st century New Jersey. As they prepare for a major celebration that involves their extended family, they have to maneuver around the machinations of a devious reality-television host. FREE.

Halloween Movie Night: Hocus Pocus @ Brooklyn Conservatory of Music

BKCM’s annual Halloween movie screening is back this year, and the audience has voted and decided: this year’s screening is the classic Hocus Pocus from 1993! This timeless, 90’s classic will be shown on the big screen in the Concert Hall, and each ticket comes with popcorn and a drink. Dress for the occasion in a creepy and comfy costume to win an all-ages Halloween Costume Contests (there will be prizes!) For adult guests, there will be boozy movie beverages available for purchase. For our younger friends that may need some reprieve from the puppets and monsters, there will be a kids-only space for any needed breaks or breathers. $15 adults/ $10 kids.
Halloween Kids Concert @ Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra*

The 27th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest @ Fort Greene Park
