Brooklyn By The Quarter: 2025 Q2
By Casey Soloff, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Compass, a 20 year resident of Brooklyn, and founder of the monthly Dadurdays meetup at Wild East Brewing Co. in Gowanus.
Q2 2025 delivered a few interesting developments worth noting. While the rental market was adjusting to the new reality of the FARE Act, the sales market had its own story to tell: co-ops posted notably strong performance with sales up 12.5% year-over-year and median prices jumping 42%, while condos saw their first significant decline in recent memory.

Stoop of the Week
“File this under ‘Beautiful Brooklyn buildings on blocks that are completely overlooked.’ This 1887 building, designed by architect William H. Tubby, was originally the Bureau of Charities Headquarters.” - @glennb1134

Address: 67 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn
“This is an overlooked building on an often overlooked street. William Tubby is considered one of Brooklyn’s finest architects, with his most well known works in Clinton Hill, as oft-time architect to oil magnate Charles Pratt. This building was built as offices and facilities for the Bureau of Charities, the Labor Bureau, and the Union for Christian Works, an influential charity. A main feature of the building was a basement library room for men, and a large third floor library for the general public. Today the building is the Educational Alliance: TEEN AID center.” - Brownstoner
