Bakehouse Mellow & Melt opened last week at 414 5th Ave between 7th and 8th streets in the space formerly occupied by Chuzo Culture. Stop by and try some of their freshly baked cakes, cupcakes and pastries and enjoy 20% off on purchases over $25 through the end of today, June 18th.
The LayUp sports bar, located one block away from Barclays Center, is celebrating its grand opening tomorrow, June 19th! Join them as they celebrate with a World Cup watch party, complete with giveaways and drink specials. Doors open at 1pm.
New neighborhood coffee shop Coffeine celebrated its soft opening this week at 561 4th Avenue between Prospect Ave and 16th Street! They are open 7am-5pm daily.
Mediterranean restaurant Mazi opened last weekend in the space formerly occupied by Purbird on 82 6th Ave at the corner of 6th Ave & St Marks Pl.
Clean Beauty spot 73° Nails will open soon on 5th Ave between St. Marks and Prospect Place.
Closings:
Convivium Osteria on 5th Ave has permanently closed after over 25 years in the neighborhood. They will be missed!

Brooklyn Pride celebrated 30 years last Saturday with the annual Brooklyn Pride Twilight Parade, which began in 1996. Happy Pride!

They are opening the Chelsea Piers Field House in Brooklyn to everyone and asking those who can to make a tax-deductible donation to benefit children and families navigating medical challenges.
