Park Slope Brunch Club
As a Park Slope Pulse subscriber, you’re the first to hear about our newest community event series: Park Slope Brunch Club
We’re kicking things off at Kome Nori, a modern Japanese restaurant that opened in Park Slope just two months ago, and is known for its omakase and hand rolls. For this special Brunch Club, Chef Sean Kang has adapted some of their signature dishes into a shareable Japanese brunch menu, making it easy for guests to relax, connect, and enjoy the experience together.
During brunch, co-owner Ken Lee will welcome guests, share the story behind Kome Nori and visit each table to introduce the dishes and answer questions.

Free STEAM Family Day
Curious what happens when children are given real tools, real challenges and the freedom to build?
On Saturday, August 29, we’re partnering with MakeInspires for a free Community Family Day - a fun morning where local families can experience one of Brooklyn’s most unique STEAM makerspaces before fall programs begin.
Throughout the morning, children will enjoy hands-on STEAM activities while parents can explore the makerspace, meet the instructors and join founder Travis Sluss for a live Q&A. Families will also have the chance to meet other neighborhood families through a collaborative Family STEAM Challenge.
Special thanks to our event sponsor, Sit Still Kids Salon - Park Slope, for supporting this community experience.

Park Slope History Walk
Have you ever wondered about the stories behind Park Slope’s brownstones, churches and historic landmarks?
Following our sold-out inaugural walk last month, we’re partnering again with Urban Origins NYC on August 29 for a private Park Slope History Walk led by licensed NYC tour guide James Farrington.
Special thanks to our event sponsor, The Ingram Team at Compass, for supporting this community experience.
Together we’ll discover the stories behind the brownstones, landmarks, and people that defined the neighborhood we know and love today, including the surprising tales of Park Slope’s many ups and downs through the decades.
After the walk, anyone who’d like to meet fellow history-loving Park Slope neighbors and continue the conversation is welcome to join us at a local bar nearby.
