Top Real Estate News
Here’s a quick roundup on real estate news happening around this part of Brooklyn:
“There were six Brooklyn areas that StreetEasy listed as its 10 New York City neighborhoods to watch in 2025, which included Greenwood (also known as Greenwood Heights), Windsor Terrace, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
Jumping from eighth place on last year’s list all the way to second was Greenwood, also known as Greenwood Heights. Nestled between Park Slope and Sunset Park, Greenwood had a 9% rise in StreetEasy searches from 2023 to 2024. Its median asking rent of $3,250 fell 1.1% from the year before, the largest drop on the list. The neighborhood’s sales market also saw a price decline, with the median asking price falling 3.2% to $1.5 million.” [BK Reader]
“A pinball diehard [Kaite Martin] loves the classic pastime so much, she has converted her Park Slope abode into a plinky-plonky paradise — giving up the usual comforts of home to squeeze in 16 of the hulking, colorful machines into her railroad-style apartment…crammed with $100,000 worth of themed pinball machines, from “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” to “Robocop,” and more recently “The Walking Dead.” [New York Post]

This Week’s Must-See Property Sales
Whether you’re planning your open house weekend, or just want to keep a pulse on (or take a peek at) what the real estate market looks like, here are our real estate listings for this week focusing on property sales of 1-3 bedrooms - three 1-2 bedroom listings are under $1M and all but 1 of the listings (including a house!) are under $1.35M.
I use StreetEasy as the listing source to recommend properties that I would live in myself, and have searched within the boundaries of Park Slope and surrounding neighborhoods (Gowanus, Windsor Terrace, Prospect Heights). All prices are per month, and only listings in the last 14 days are shown unless there is a significant price drop. All sales jargon has been magically removed.
