Welcome to Park Slope’s weekly newsletter, Park Slope Pulse. We spend hours curating the most important news and events each week ✨ for free ✨ to save you time sifting through listings and articles! Park Slope Pulse gives you the first insights to make plans or start conversations.
Here’s what’s happening this week:
Opening: Misha & Puff, a boutique specializing in ethically-made childrens’ clothing, opened on 349 Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill.
After years of debate, a revised proposal for the rezoning of 962–972 Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights was announced on Tuesday. The project, which is expected to be approved by the City Council on November 21st, will allow the development to move forward with changes that protect The Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s plants from being affected by shadows that would cause permanent damage [BBG].
Curious how your neighborhood voted? Enter your address into The City’s election results map to find out.
Air quality has improved in Brooklyn since the Prospect Park fire (donate to Prospect Park here!), but the city-wide drought persists, prompting Mayor Eric Adams to ban grilling in parks and urge New Yorkers to conserve water [Brooklyn Paper].
