Be Pasta, from the team behind Terre, is slated to open at 447 1st Street between 6th and 7th Avenues soon.
Mediterranean home and lifestyle brand Anatolico, which was previously located in a pop up space on 7th Avenue, opened its permanent home at 347 5th Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets on February 22nd.
Popular Clinton Hill Eatery Impasto will open mid-April in the old Teo’s location at 200 Garfield Place between 6th and 7th Avenues.
Backyard Bar & Billiards has opened on 740 5th Avenue between 24th and 25th Streets.

Chase Away the Winter Blues Tour @ Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 11am- 12pm: Over a dozen different kinds of flowers grace the grounds of the late-winter garden at BBG. Celebrate the transition from winter to spring by admiring these petite, colorful, and sturdy blooms undeterred by the frost. Join Lynne Spevack, L.C.S.W. for this hour-long, narrated nature walk designed to chase away the winter blues. Birding in Peace @ Green-Wood Cemetery, 6:45am-8:15am: Birding expert Rob Jett leads these peaceful early morning walking tours— before the gates open— to discover the many birds that call Green-Wood home. For some bird species that migrate south after the breeding season, Brooklyn is their Miami during the cold months. Spend the early morning exploring the cemetery, looking for overwintering waterfowl, nuthatches, woodpeckers, sparrows, finches, and any half-hardy birds that decided to stick around. By February we’ll see some of the early north-bound birds beginning to trickle back into the area. $20/$16 for members.
