French bakery Le Fournil has opened their first Brooklyn location at 186 5th Avenue at Sackett Street!
Smorgasburg NYC is BACK for their 16th season! They will re-open April 5th at Prospect Park! Read about the new vendors at this year’s Smorgasbourg.
The Biggie Experience, a museum celebrating life, music, and legacy of the late Notorious B.I.G., has opened at 503 Atlantic Avenue.
Closing:
Trailer Park is closing soon after being in business for 27 years in the neighborhood. Chris Houghton has owned the business since 1998, personally sourcing the shop’s eclectic mix of inventory from Pennsylvania Dutch Country.
The store specializes in vintage collectibles and made-to-order Amish furniture . You can visit Trailer Park at 77 Sterling Place (near 6th Ave).

Local News:
A No Kings march is planned for this Saturday March 28 at 1-3pm. It will start at Garfield Place and go along Prospect Park West.
A new bill would roll back the Eric Adams-era regulations on outdoor dining. The bill is currently being deliberated by City Council and would classify all “roadway cafes”— sidewalk dining areas— as “sidewalk cafes,” which are allowed to operate without any seasonal limitations.
The average one-bedroom rent in Park Slope has reached $3,706, marking a 6% decrease from last year.
More than 60 crashes were reported at the busy traffic circle at Grand Army Plaza in 2025, prompting some residents to push for measures like traffic calming, curb extensions, and synchronized traffic signals.
The stalled Atlantic Yards platform in Brooklyn, a project started in 2003, may receive $350 million in aid from New York State.

“All the Restaurants” Pop-up @ Framebridge Cobble Hill (12:00pm-4:00pm): Meet Park Slope artist John Donohue, founder of All the Restaurants, at a special pop-up. Donohue will be selling and signing limited-edition prints of his iconic sketches featuring beloved Brooklyn spots like Lucali, Frankies Spuntino, and Clover Club, with custom framing available on-site.
Park Slope Historic Churches Walking Tour, 1:30 to 3:30 pm: Park Slope’s houses of worship tell the story of the community that built them. They show the work of the families, immigrants, and leaders who shaped this neighborhood. The guided tour gives you a close look at that history and the beautiful architecture of each of these spaces. Participants will visit four houses of worship in small groups. At each stop, a member of the congregation will lead a tour and share the building’s story. $30/ $25 members.
Black Girl Art Show @ Brooklyn Navy Yard, 2-8pm: This nationwide traveling exhibition is dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the creativity, talent, and cultural impact of Black women artists. Each show brings together a curated collection of powerful, thought-provoking pieces alongside live art, music, and a marketplace of Black-owned brands. Guests can expect an inspiring, high energy celebration that feels equal parts art gallery, cultural gathering, and creative recharge. $68.55.
Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra Gala: Waltz and Foxtrot @ St. Saviour High School Gymnasium, 7:30-10pm: Step back in time and onto the dance floor at the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra‘s biannual gala spectacular: a dazzling evening of waltzing and foxtrot inspired by the balls and fétes of Old New York in The Gilded Age. Expect an evening full of dancing, musical performances and delectable food and drink courtesy of the BCCO’s members. Laurie Shayler of Dance Connection will offer accessible group lessons in waltz and foxtrot dancing.
