Meet the Editor: Ky Jones
This week, get to know our editor, Ky! Ky will be curating the selection of events, news, and interviews you’ll find here. She’s excited to meet you all and has shared a little bit about herself below.
A little bit about me:
My hometown is Sacramento, CA, but I’ve been living here in Park Slope for just over two years. When I first moved to this neighborhood,
ng brought me closer to the people and things that make it special. I’m grateful that my involvement in the page allows me to explore so many gems in Brooklyn and engage with the community in a novel way. What I love most about living in Park Slope:
I love the unique charm that this neighborhood possesses. Around every corner are so many unique shops and restaurants each with a story that often ties back to individuals who live right here in this community. As the weather has gotten warmer and the trees have grown full with leaves, this charm has grown even larger. I feel that this applies to New York City as a whole, but there’s something poetic about watching the city come alive after months of winter.
My go-to spots in the neighborhood:
The proximity to Prospect Park is priceless to me! I love running, picnicing, and taking my dog for walks here daily. Some of my other favorite and most frequented spots are Winner (I would eat their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich for every meal if I could), Postmark Cafe, and Bagel Pub.
