Meet Joe and Lauren Grimm: Founders of Grimm Tavern

Grimm Tavern is opening tomorrow, Friday June 26th, at 659 Vanderbilt Ave (Between Prospect Pl & Park Pl), in the space previously occupied by Olmsted. From Grimm Artisanal Ales - named New York State Brewery of the Year five times (most recently in 2025 and 2026) - owners Joe and Lauren Grimm, the restaurant will serve dry-aged steaks and burgers, tallow fries, roast chicken, and pan-fried trout and feature a full bar.

Next door, Grimm Goods will offer coffee, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits, muffalettas, and canned beer to go.

  • Studio Metamorphosis is opening their Park Slope outpost this weekend at 166 7th Ave between Garfield Pl & 1st St. To celebrate, they are offering free community glasses, giveaways, and more!

  • Red Moon Wellness has moved to its new home on 459 Fifth Avenue at the corner of 10th St. The new location features seven treatment rooms, a wellness library, and a brand new infrared sauna suite to open soon!

  • The Block coffee shop will soon open at 257 Third Avenue. Watch this space for more details coming soon!

  • Yesterday, June 25th, Brooklyn Public Library released the JAŸ-Z 30 Limited Edition Library Card, available on a first-come, first-service basis. The card honors the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt, Jay-Z’s debut album. Swing by any location to grab one!
