Introducing: Pam Wong!
I’m excited for you to meet Pam Wong, a Writer for Park Slope Pulse! I was lucky to connect to Pam via my collaboration with Randi Rosenbaum Photo and Arts Gowanus where Pam was the Special Projects Director. Her kindness and skill in crafting meaningful experiences from the people and places in our neighborhood have given me the privilege of connecting more deeply with our inspirational arts community. - Viv
Pam shares her story:
“I’m a writer, curator, and art lover. I love working with artists, checking out exhibitions and writing about them at @arthagnyc. I also oversee the art programming at the Gowanus Dredgers Boathouse (@gowanusdredgers). We exhibit work by local artists there every month from the spring to early fall.
After years of living in Manhattan, I decided to cross the river over to Park Slope in 2015. The neighborhood is much calmer and cozier than the city. Shortly after moving here, I worked as a local reporter at Bklyner for three years covering arts, culture, and news in northwest Brooklyn neighborhoods.”
Here are some of Pam’s favorite things about the neighborhood:
“The amazing community of creative, intriguing people! Also, the fact that you can get anything and everything you need here. Art, music, food, shopping are all within walking distance and you never have to stray too far.”
Some local businesses Pam loves:
@heretosunday, @gowinestudiobk, @mirrorinthewoods, @conviviumosteria, @pizzasecret, Geido
