Prospect Park Alliance announced the completion of their Picnic House restrooms restoration project, which is part of a larger initiative to improve visitor experience.
Pam Wong, Brooklyn-based writer, curator, and writer for Park Slope Pulse, will lead a discussion following the April 23rd screening of Gowanus Current at Cobble Hill Cinemas. The film, by local filmmakers Jamie Courville and Chris Reynolds, was shot over the course of ten years and documents the Gowanus re-zoning process and rapid shifts in the notoriously polluted neighborhood. Group discussion often focuses around the experience of parents identifying as mothers, but all parents are welcome. Depending on volunteer response and other resources, FOFA will organize teams to "clean and green" tree beds and sidewalks along 4th Ave from Pacific St to 17th St. FREE.
Art of the Croissant Class- Sunday April 27th, 10am-1pm*: Join Chef Ariana of Carroll Gardens’ Atelier Ariana for a hands-on experience of making our 3-day croissant recipe from dough to baked product. Donations are accepted Mondays-Fridays from 9am-7pm at Dancewave in Gowanus and Friday- Sunday from 12-4pm at Old Stone House in Park Slope.
