Openings:
Popular Maine pizzeria Il Leone opens today, November 13th!
Psta celebrates their soft opening this Friday, November 14th at 210 Flatbush Ave. They will be serving fresh in-store made pasta starting from $12 with sauce! Psta joins Gnocchi on 9th, which opened over the summer, as another fast pasta concept in the neighborhood.
Korean grocery store K-Slope market, in the space formerly occupied by Steve’s C-town, will open November 21st. Thanks to Park Slope Together for the info— and also for the hot tip that neighboring cafe Golden Shovel has delicious dumplings handmade in shop. We can’t wait to check them out!
Slope Market opened November 9th on 4th Avenue between 18th & 19th streets.
Lidl will be opening 680 Baltic Street on December 10 (corner of 5th Ave & Baltic street). It will be open 8am-9pm.
Barnes & Noble reopened yesterday morning - here is a first look at the renovations!
A new thrift-store branch of Gowanus-based BIG Reuse is opening in Bushwick in December. The 5,000-sq-ft space will sell home goods and clothing (though not furniture or appliances) and is built using reclaimed materials—part of the nonprofit’s growth as thrifting gains momentum. [Brownstoner]

Starting December 8, 2025, the NYC Ferry will introduce a direct route connecting Brooklyn and Staten Island - offering a transit alternative to the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and integrating Staten Island into the city’s growing ferry network. [Gothamist]
“The South Brooklyn route will offer Red Hook and Atlantic Ave residents direct access to Midtown and increased frequency during peak hours. In addition, the South Brooklyn route will connect Sunset Park and Bay Ridge to Red Hook and other landings during summer weekends.”

Park Slope Civic Council Neighborhood Civic Sweep, 10am-2pm: PSCC’s bi-annual neighborhood clean-up returns! Along with helping keep our streets beautiful, they will be giving away free kitchen compost bins, distributing free daffodil bulbs, collecting coats, gloves, and hats, contributing to food pantries, hosting a tree art activity, and more! Larry’s After Hours by Studio Bumi @ Larry’s Ca Phe, 6-10pm: Studio Bumi is taking over Larry’s Cà Phê in Park Slope for dinner service and serving up cozy small plates.
